THE CHALLENGE
Water storage tank installation Steel Tower
Our client required a water storage tank installation with a capacity of 324,000 litres to be installed at the top of a steel tower in Kurdistan. The contract required the assessment, manufacture, export of the tank, shipping documentation & installation supervision by a senior engineer. The tank needed to conform to British and Singapore water storage standards, be tested up to six times the working pressure, and satisfy local council prerequisites.
TRICEL SOLUTION
We provided a complete, hassle-free service, from organising pre-shipment inspections and preparing export and import documentation to manufacturing and installation supervision. The experienced logistics personnel at Dewey Waters ensured that the European Certificate of Origin, the packing list, and a material statement were included in the import/export package to satisfy customs and government officials in Iraq. The logistics team also dispatched additional connections via air freight when requested by the client and sent a spare tank kit with all export tanks to ensure each project ran as smoothly as possible.
THE FINAL RESULT
The tank panels & connections were dispatched on November 21st, 2016. Once the tank was delivered in Kurdistan, our senior installation engineer supervised the tank assembly to ensure that the construction and quality of the tank were approved to British standards. Despite facing difficulties such as heavy snow storms and high winds, the construction of the tank was finished on time with a total build time of twenty days from start to finish.
