THE CHALLENGE
Replace storage tanks from Basement to 53rd floor
Water Tank Installation London – The challenge was to install water storage tanks spanning from the basement up to the 53rd floor. Due to the unusual design of the building and the heavily populated and restricted area we faced many challenges. The task encompassed the entire process, including supplying, delivering, positioning with cranage, and installing the water storage tanks. Additionally, the project required the installation of levelling steels, intricate connections, and the establishment of reliable radio communication.
TRICEL SOLUTION
The solution was to install x 7 GRP Water Tanks – One Piece, Hot Press Sectional and Totally Internally Flanged. The process involved ensuring the timely supply and delivery of the water storage tanks to each designated floor within The Shard and Establish intricate connections to facilitate proper functionality and integration with the building’s water supply system. We also Implemented a robust radio communication system to maintain coordination and efficiency throughout the installation process
THE FINAL RESULT
By devising a comprehensive solution encompassing supply, delivery, positioning, installation, connections, and communication, the project achieved successful vertical water supply across The Shard’s multi-floor structure.
